Originally from upstate New York, Lisa Barrett attended American University in Washington, D.C., where she received her B.A. in political science and M.A. in applied politics while playing Division I volleyball and interning on the Hill.

Due to her love of "Dawson's Creek," Lisa regularly visited Wilmington, North Carolina, for some downtime while working in the D.C. area. She eventually made the move permanent after meeting her future husband, Steven, at one of the show’s filming locations, Hell's Kitchen. Lisa and Steven married in 2019, and have since welcomed two beautiful children, Elizabeth and Alex.

Lisa joined Lanier Property Group as Stephanie's executive assistant in 2019 after meeting and bonding through The Inspiration Lab. Lisa also serves as The Inspiration Lab’s Community Manager.

During her free time, Lisa enjoys strolling around downtown and visiting various “Dawson’s Creek” filming locations with her husband and daughter. They are avid fans of the Washington Capitals hockey team and attend local UNCW volleyball games whenever possible.
